#### Ordering Numbers

Before putting numbers in order, we need to know their numerical neighbours

##### Ascending order

One way of putting numbers in order is to arrange them from the **smallest** (or lowest) to the **largest** (or highest) number. We call it in “Ascending Order” when the numbers in the sequence gets larger or go up in value.

For example:

4, 9, 16, 18, 21, 25, 35, 37, 48 are arranged in **ascending** order
